Country codes for Google Analytics Dashboard

The list bellow contains all country codes needed to properly setup Google Analytics Dashboard for WP. Using the proper country code you will be able to display visitors/cities on a regional map (specified country on a map).

This feature was mainly created for local websites and businesses, for which visitors/country on a world map is useless.

Setup a Geo Map region in Google Analytics Dashboard

On your WordPress administration area, go to Google Analytics -> Backend Settings -> Additional Stats & Charts, look for Target Geo Map to region, enter your corresponding country code from the list bellow and enter the number of cities to display. Cities are ordered descending by visitors number, so top X cities will be displayed.

Because the geo chart needs some time to retrieve longitude and latitude for each city, to achieve a reasonable loading time, I recommend using a maximum value of 30. The default value is 10 and is up to you how many cities you will display (Google Analytics API also limits this query to maximum 10.000 results)

The above demo shows how to setup this feature and the impact on rendering speed while using a huge number of cities.

I really like this feature. I was wondering is it possible to set it for more than one country? (In my case I’d like to set it for Canada and the US.)
Can you just put in the country code(s) separated by commas? or…

    Thanks

I’m working on it, to allow users to also display continents instead of countries, when needed.
