Moving translations to WordPress.org

Great news! Plugins can have translations delivered as Language Packages, in the same way in which the WordPress Core translations are delivered.

From version 4.8.3, Google Analytics Dashboard for WP will also switch to the new localization system. From now on, all translations will be managed through WordPress.org. This is the place where our localization projects will be available for translation and where translators can work together in an organized way.

Starting from today, future Google Analytics Dashboard for WP releases will no longer include any translation files in the /languages sub-directory, because all translation files will be delivered through the Updates screen of your WordPress site.

How to update or install a Language Pack

With the new language packages system in-place, you will be able to update and install translations from Dashboard -> Updates. In the Updates screen scroll down to Translations section and use the Update Translations button to update or install all available language packages.

Plugin Localization

The new translation projects are located here. There are four projects:

Development (trunk) – the development version, where all new strings will be added during development.

Stable (latest release) – the latest stable, containing the strings of the current stable version.

Development Readme (trunk) – the development version of the Plugin Directory page, where all new strings from readme.txt will be added during development.

Stable Readme (latest release) – the current version of the Plugin Directory page, containing the strings of the current readme.txt.

If you want to contribute and translate Google Analytics Dashboard for WP in your language, please use translate.wordpress.org from now on. Note that a language pack will be available for install / update only if the translation is complete (at 100%).
