Will a revoked plugin authorization affect the tracking?

April 30, 2017 by Alin Marcu

On this documentation page, you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions about Analytics Insights for WP.

If you have any errors displayed under Analytics Insights -> Errors & Debug, you should start by checking these error codes first.

If you can’t find the right answer, go to WordPress.org support forums and drop a question there. Try to give as many details as possible about your issue.

Will a revoked plugin authorization affect the tracking?

Analytics Insights uses multiple APIs to retrieve and display analytics reports. You can find more about the plugin’s functionality here.

At some point, API errors may occur for different reasons. While most of the errors will be automatically handled, the plugin may clear your authorization when an automatic error recovery is not possible.

If the authorization is automatically revoked you’ll have to find the cause of the error and fix it. Afterward re-authorize the plugin as usual.

The tracking feature is not affected by these events and will continue to work as expected (automatically inserting the tracking code in your web pages)!
